WHY WERE CHILDREN WITH A SURVIVING PARENT EVER IN RESTORING HOPE’S CARE?

While there are many potential answers to this question, death of the predominant provider or caregiver and lack of financial ability to continue caring for the child are the most common reasons a surviving parent requested that our organization step in to care for their child.

HOW DO YOU ENSURE THE CHILDREN’S SAFETY AND WELL-BEING IN A LESS REGULATED ENVIRONMENT?

If there is any sign of neglect or abuse of any kind in a child’s living environment,, we will move to make a change immediately. Our staff is in regular communication with these children and families and makes monthly visits to the home in an effort to ensure the safety and well-being of each and every child.

WHAT IS THE LEADERSHIP AND STAFF STRUCTURE OF RESTORING HOPE?

We have a US-based Director of Development, but are committed to have an all-nationals staff on the ground in the country we predominantly serve, which for security reasons, needs to remain anonymous in all public representation such as a website.

HOW ARE CHILDREN SELECTED TO JOIN RESTORING HOPE?

Families typically reach out to our team or a representative of Restoring Hope in their village or area. Our team is then able to evaluate the needs of the child and family to determine who is a good fit for what our organization has capacity to provide.
